‘The book picks up pace throughout and is never less than entertaining, but the fact that the speculation is set squarely within the realms of possibility means that a book which at first seems like science fiction melding with fantasy might actually be a guidebook, a guidebook to chaotic times ahead.’

  2. Penny Brown

A gripping story with lots of twists
This is a remarkable novel which starts off as a fantasy story in a series of mysterious lands where two characters confront a series of deadly perils. But there is something different about these lands which disturbs the two central characters who appear to be living in two completely separate universes.
Then everything changes and their different experiences are united in a completely unexpected but satisfying twist.

  3. BH Reads

Thoroughly good read! So much imagination and informative too while being a very good fantasy novel.

  4. Chris G

Hard science fiction with concepts going back to the ancient Greeks. The story pulls you along quite well, even if the baddies could have put up a bit more of a fight at the end.
